Modern Mums’ Foundation is about Mums’ Supporting Mums’.

Hi.  I am Lee Spencer. I am the founder of Modern Mums’ and The Boutique Warehouse.

As a mother of three I quickly discovered what a juggling act mothehood can be.   

I have always felt that I am unbelievably blessed to be supported by a wonderful husband, caring family and loyal friends and even with all of these support networks at my disposal, motherhood has presented me with many challenges. ‘

When I developed the concept of the Modern Mums’ it was always prevalent in my mind that I wanted to create a community where as mum’s we could share our collective experiences,  grow from our collective wisdom and gain support from each other’s understanding as we face similar challenges.  

It occurred to me as I developed this concept of community that there are many mums out there that don’t have access to the same support networks that many of us have, and that due to different circumstances, are struggling to keep themselves and their children safe and secure emotionally, physically, or both. It was at this point that I decided that the MODERN MUMS’ FOUNDATION would be created. 

The Modern Mums’ Foundation is a registered trust fund that is fully and openly accountable.

With every purchase made at The Boutique Warehouse, All profits will go to the Modern Mums’ Foundation.

Funds from the foundation will be used in several ways. We will contribute strongly to women’s shelters and community centres that are supporting mums in our local community. We will also contribute regularly to different relevant charities such as the Breast Cancer Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Care flight and SIDS. 

However as a counsellor it is my ultimate goal to develop through the Modern Mums’ Foundation a network of holistic community based centres that promote the care and nurturing of Mums and their children who, due to difficult circumstances, need to get back on their feet, build confidence and move forward in the world.
