Lee and Kids

Isn't it funny how all things seem to come all at once in life isn't it. . Since the last E-Zine my husband and I decided to buy a block of land, sell our house and of course I decided it was a great time to have a stocktake sale. But I am not complaining, it's nice when life is busy with things you are excited about.

So I would like to ask for your advice. Have you ever sold or built a house? Because if you have I would love to hear about the lessons that you've learned in the process. This is our first build although we have renovated before which was tough enough. In order to gain from the collective wisdom of Modern Mums' members on this topic I have started a discussion forum (see link below). I truly believe that you can learn so much though other peoples experiences. So jump on and chat to me I would really love to hear from you on this or for that matter on any other topic.

REMINDER:

OUR FIRST ANNUAL STOCKTAKE SALE ENDS MIDNIGHT THIS SUNDAY

The Boutique Warehouse is designed to offer mums and their families the value for money, quality and style that they deserve.

I began the store because as a mother I know how expensive it is to keep a family going especially with the rising cost of living. The low overheads of an online shop allows me to provide you and other mums with products at significantly lower prices than you would find in a bricks and mortar retail store.

This means that you and your family can afford to wear some beautiful designer fashion that is stocked in places like DJ's, Myers, surf shops and independent boutiques for the same price as you would pay for basic ranges in local department stores like Target and Big W.

All of the stock in The Boutique Warehouse is heavily reduced 365 days of the year so add on some extra discounts and FREE SHIPPING and I promise you that you won't get better value for money anywhere else!

I stand by the quality and value of all our products.

I have personally purchased many products from the store (and I don't even give myself a staff discount) Modern Mums' brands are pretty much all my kids and I wear now and I have to say my kids look great and I always feel fantastic when I wear my fashions. I am not boasting I just truly want you to be able to experience the same feeling without having to spend a fortune. Mums deserve to look and feel great but we tend to leave ourselves out because of the expense.

It's also for all these reasons that I feel confident enough to offer our UNIQUE* 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.

What makes it unique? Our refund includes all costs. This is unheard of in online shopping normally the customer would be expected to cover the cost of the postage both ways. So if it doesn't fit or you don't like it send it back at absolutely no expense to you.

And to top things off 10% of the profits from your purchase will go to the Modern Mums' foundation with Stocktake funds ear marked to contribute a large supply of warm clothing to women and children's shelters.

Ok lets move on to the articles but before I go here's the link to the Forum so you can give me you tips on buying or building a home. If clicking on the link doesn't work just cut and paste it into your browser. http://www.modernmums.com.au/mumstalking/index.php?a=topic&t=11

Please come and chat with me and remember Modern Mums is about you so make sure that if there is a topic you would like to see discussed in the E-Zine or a product you would like to see in the store don't hesitate to email me on lee@modernmums.com.au

Wishing you success and happiness

Babies: Crying and Unsettled Babies

"Colic" has been the common word used to describe regular times of crying and not settling in a baby. It is now understood that "colic" refers to the normal range of unsettled behaviour in many babies. This can be very demanding and exhausting for parents.

This crying and fussing can happen at any time, but often occurs in the late afternoon and evening, especially in babies between 2 weeks and 4 months of age. It is very common for young infants to have crying and unsettled times.

Children’s Health  Frequent night waking from 6 months to 3 years

Waking up many times through the night (recurrent night waking) is very common in infants and toddlers.  But it can be very distressing for parents. Sleep is made up of cycles which last about an hour in this age group. A sleep cycle is made up of both light and deep sleep. It is normal for children to wake at night when a sleep cycle comes to an end. Many children can easily resettle themselves back to sleep.  Other children will call out needing their parents to help them resettle.

BEAUTY TIP Mascara - No clumps and great condition

Ladie having mascara put on

Begin your eyelash routine by using natural tools for conditioning them. Vaseline and even olive oil applied in moderate amounts are known to increase the health of individual eyelashes and thus prime the canvas for the application of mascaras like Max Factor, Kiss Me, La Femme, Maybelline and of course L’Oreal. Using bargain basement or no-name mascara is discouraged since it often contains fillers that are all but guaranteed to clump on your lashes at the first opportunity.
