Latest Research in the Best Buy Shampoos
Clever advertisements claim that expensive salon shampoos are the best you can buy for your hair. Shiny, strong healthy, beautiful hair can be only achieved by these luxurious secret ingredients.
But does paying more money for a shampoo mean you are receiving a superior product?
According to research conducted by Choice magazine July, 2006 they report, “A high price doesn’t necessarily mean a better shampoo – our trial lists’ three top brands were all from the supermarket.”
Choice testers tried out 41 shampoos, some were supermarket brands and others were expensive salon brands and they came up with these surprising results.
Choice magazine, July 2006 says,” The trial’s three top-rating shampoos, FRUITRIENCE Raspberry and Pink Grapefruit Enriched, DOVE Revitalising and GARNIER FRUCTIS Fortifying (the last two rating equal second) got the top score for fragrance and among the highest rating for washing hair clean. They’re easy to find in supermarkets and discount department stores.”
“We paid around $2 per 100mL for these top three.” says Choice.
These trials prove that paying more money for shampoo or any other product for that matter does not necessarily means they are better or worth their money.
Often you are paying more for the brand name and the expensive marketing than the product. So don’t become naïve to the ingenious marketing and pay out more money than you need to.
